David Garcia

Producer-Songwriter

David Garcia is a multi-platinum selling, four time Grammy Award-winning Record Producer and Songwriter.

Over the past decade he has achieved chart topping success across multiple genres of music with over 20 number one songs to his credit.

Moving to Nashville in 2010, he found early success with many of Contemporary Christian Music’s elite, producing and co-writing many of the genre’s top performing songs year in and year out. He has twice  been named ASCAP’s “Christian Songwriter of The Year”, written three of ASCAP’s Christian “Song of The Year” and to date has received nine Dove Awards.

In 2016, Garcia had his first country radio number one with Kip Moore, producing and co-writing Moore’s “More Girls Like You”.

Garcia followed in 2017 by producing and co-writing four songs on alternative rapper NF’s platinum selling album, “Perception”.

Credited again as a producer and songwriter, the BeBe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line collaboration “Meant to Be” became 2018’s longest charting number one song in Billboard Country Music Chart history. Reigning at the top spot for 50 weeks, it shattered all of Billboard’s previous records for a multi-week number one on the “Hot Country” songs chart. It has since sold over 10,000,000 copies and earned a Diamond certification from the RIAA.

That same year Garcia would collaborate with country music royalty, Carrie Underwood.  He co-produced the album “Cry Pretty” with Underwood, co-writing six of the album’s songs including the smash hit “Southbound”. It would become Underwood’s sixth platinum selling LP.

Awards in Country music were soon to follow, with Garcia receiving the  “Spotify Secret Genius Award” for the country music in 2018, and a ACM Award for “Music Event of The Decade” in 2019.

In 2020, Garcia co-wrote Kenny Chesney’s latest number one country radio single “Here and Now” while also having songs recorded by Carrie Underwood, Hardy, Florida Georgia Line, and Dierks Bentley.

Garcia’s songs that are currently impacting radio are “Gone” by Dierks Bentley (producer), “Long Live” by Florida Georgia Line (songwriter) and “God Who Listens” by Chris Tomlin and Thomas Rhett (producer and songwriter).
